Kerry Schuss Gallery is pleased to present Robert Moskowitz: Paintings from the 1960's and 1970's features and installation of silver "Window Shade" paintings from 1962 combined with large black "Corner Paintings" from 1972-73. This exhibition is the artist's 6th solo at the gallery.

Robert Moskowitz's paintings were included in the "New Realists" show at Sidney Janis (1962). He had also been included in William Seitz's seminal "The Art of Assemblage" exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in [1961]. Moskowitz was featured in "New Image Painting" at The Whitney Museum of Art in 1978. His 1989 mid career retrospective originated at the Hirshorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Washington, DC and toured to the La Jolla Museum of Contemporary Art, CA and The Museum of Modern Art, New York, NY. Moskowitz has had numerous one-person exhibitions at galleries including Leo Castelli Gallery, Blum Helman Gallery, New York, Daniel Weinberg Gallery, San Francisco, Margo Leavin Gallery, Los Angeles, Lawrence Markey, San Antonio, Peter Blum, New York, D'Amelio Terras, New York, Kerry Schuss Gallery, New York and Craig Starr Gallery, New York.

Robert Moskowitz's work is numerous museum collections, including The Museum of Modern Art, New York; Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York; Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago; and The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles.
