This exhibition presents two works on paper by each of 40 artists arranged in
a half-drop pattern. Besides giving each piece ample room to be seen, this
configuration sets up formal relationships and conversations with adjacent works.
Having two works by each artist reveals a consistency of sensibility, an individual
identity as it participates with its neighbors. Framed and unframed and created by a
wide variety of artists, living and dead in many different styles, the works included
come together in a dynamic whole.
