Dmitri Hertz & Chip Hughes
Field Recording
October 14 - November 11, 2023
Kerry Schuss Gallery is pleased to present "Field Recording" a two-person exhibition featuring sculpture by Dmitri Hertz and paintings by Chip Hughes.
"My work exists in the collision between the natural world and the engineered one. The sculptures in this body of work are formal arrangements of tiny moments. Representations of absurd microcosms that express the disorienting qualities of being human today." Dmitri Hertz
"Lost Frost is a painting depicting a folded paper snowflake. Paper snowflakes are made using a template, a repetitive series of folds and cuts. It is hard to know what the outcome will be while making the work, but all is revealed in the unfolding." Chip Hughes
